What a gorgeous day for a white wedding in the luxurious surroundings of Heythrop Park, one of our favourite venues in the area.
We had already met with Gemma & Matt at Heythrop for a few casual pre-wedding photos to get them used to the way we work and to get a few chilled out images (which you can see here), so we were already well aware of how smooth Matt is and how amazing these guys are together!
Pawel covered the lads’ preparations and saw the lads through any nerves and hopping into that jaw dropping car (we want one of these for ourselves!), Matt looking every bit the suave GQ cover model. The lads never take long with the preps at all: suits on, cuff links on, the rings in the pocket and you’re ready to go. If you’re naturally handsome, you don’t really need to bother, do you? we moved downstairs to the bar overlooking Heythrop Park’s stunning grounds. The fountain was flowing, the birds were in song and Matt and his team were joined by more and more guests coming over for a cheeky pint.
Meanwhile Jakob saw the day in with the girls. This was without a doubt the most relaxed bridal party I have photographed to date, Champagne and gifts, the girls were happy pampering for hours and Gemma, well what can I say, you looked nothing short of stunning and you could tell from Matt’s face when he saw you walk into Enstone Church that knew so well that this fine day he was the luckiest man in the house!
Getting married is one of the most important days of your life and by rights then so is finding the right cake maker, venue, catering team, DJ, Photography team and so on. We knew the first time we met with Gemma & Matt that we wanted to work with them. When you meet with couples and spend time getting to know them you start to get a feel for the people they are and Gemma & Matt were instantly like friends which tells me that they are going to be amazing to work with and it shows; we had great fun shooting this wedding and couples like this make it really easy to produce images that they will love forever and that we will too.
The party after the wedding, well that’s another story but I’ll just tell you that they definitely know how to dance and if like Jakob, you decide to join in dancing camera in hand, lens’ stabiliser seriously put to the test and then decide not to go home after 16 hours of focused work? Well, that’s what we call dedication and a cracking party…
