That month-long trip took place in August 2018 and was all revolving around trekking the Ladakh mountains, which is what we love most. For the first two weeks we acclimatized starting from 3500m in Leh and reaching eventually Komaru La as the highest pass of 5260m/17 257ft. Then the second part of our trek – and the pinnacle of journey – was focused on climbing Stok Kangri, 6153m/20187ft. And we did it! On our way through the mountains and villages we met lots of locals and other tourists, we tasted some delicious food and experienced the exotic atmosphere created by Indian religion, culture, colours and scents attacking your senses from all directions.
